Obituary of Bruce John Notwell

NOTWELL, Bruce John Born July 9, 1929. After a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer"s Bruce went to Heaven on March 4, 2010. Loving husband and best friend of Anita (Forsander) for over 51 years. Best dad ever to Dawn St. Pierre, Dale Notwell, and Dave Notwell. Devoted papa to Amy Lauren, and Emily Erin. Reunited with his parents Harold and Wilhelmina Notwell and big brother Richard and wife Ella. He will be missed by his sisters Jean Kalbol and the late husband Ernie, Eileen and husband Guenther Ruediger. Brother in law of Dorothy Davidson and late husband Archie, and Elsa Crerar and late husband David. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Bruce retired after 45 years of service with McKerlie-Millen Automotive. He enjoyed his retirement spending time and vacationing with his family. Bruce served as a crossing guard for the City of Windsor at the corner of Lauzon and Forest Glade Dr. He was also a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010, 11am in the Chapel. Pastor Greg Lutz officiating. A private family interment to take place at Windsor Memorial Gardens at a later date.
