Obituary of Istv�n Ujj

UJJ, Istv"n (Steve) Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at his residence on February 1, 2010 at the age of 72 years. Loving husband to Ilona (nee Nagy) with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage. Cherished father to Livia Ujj. Predeceased by his loving dogs, Angel and Latte, both of whom wait his joyous reunion at the Rainbow Bridge. Predeceased by his twin brother J"zseph of Hungary. Survived by his sister Gizella and J"nos "rvai of Encs, Hungary and sister-in-law Maria and Mel Brown of Windsor. Dear uncle to "va and Gyula Szabo (Hungary), M"rta and L"szlo Nagy (Hungary), Paul and "gnes Vero (Florida), and Erika and Rob Arkell (Ontario). Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Steve was born on November 10, 1937 in Hern"db"d, Hungary and was the beloved son of the late Margit (R"cz) and Istv"n Ujj of Hungary. Steve immigrated to Canada from Hungary during the 1956 Revolution at which time he landed in Vancouver, British Columbia. His journey took him to live in Victoria, Montreal, and his eternal home of Windsor. Steve was an employee of Kelsey Hayes for over 28 years before his retirement and was a CAW member of Local 195. He had a love for gardening, cooking, and making others laugh. The family is deeply grateful for the loving care Steve received from the nurses, physicians, and support staff of Bayshore Nursing, Hospice, CCAC, Metropolitan and H"tel Dieu Hospitals. Special recognition to Drs. Spiers, Nwadiaro, Peer, Kahlil, Force, Luo, Kidd, Cohen, and Stresman for their guidance, strength, and support. It is with deep gratitude that the family acknowledges the many expressions of love, respect, and support from neighbours and friends during his illness. Visitation will take place at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME at 1700 Tecumseh Road East, on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Prayers Thursday at 8:00pm. Cremation to follow. If you so desire, memorial donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County would be appreciated by the family.
