It is with sadness that I hear of the passing of Edna. During my time in the 1990's and 2001-2003 as Dean of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Windsor I was privileged and humbled to know Edna. Her kind words of encouragement, her personality , her participation in the parish and, especially as a member of the Ukrainian Women's Association Lesya Ukrainka branch and its Museum Committee exemplified her talents and leadershhip skills. It is with gratitude that I enjoyed the numerous visits with her and Ted and their hospitality and generosity. I was privileged also to be honored with a woodcarving gift portraying my late wife and myself, a product of Ted's hands and, no doubt, her encouragement. Accept my sincerest prayers and heartfelt condolences. May the Almighty accept her soul to His Heavenly Kingdom and establish it in a place of peace, where there is no pain, nor suffering, but peace everlasting. May the family be assured that the memories shall lived long to sustain you through the faith in a Resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, who has called her to His Eternal Home. Eternal Remembrance. Veechnaya Pam'yat. Yours in Christ, Very Reverend Father Michael Skrumeda February 1, 2010 Winnipeg, Manitoba
