Obituary of Angela Tedesco

TEDESCO Angela (nee Spadafora) With her loving family beside her, Angela was passed into the loving arms of God, on Tuesday January 26, 2010 at the age of 90 years. A resident of Huron Lodge for 6 years, Angela is survived by her loving husband Giuseppe Tedesco. Dear mother of Tony and Rosemary Tedesco, Isabella and Fiore Zanchetta, Frank and Carla Tedesco, Rosa White, Tommaso and Cathy Tedesco and John and Teresa Tedesco. Cherished Nonna of 18 grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren. Predeceased sister to Caterina and Francesco Loria, Marietta and Antonio Guglielmo and Rosetta Rodinella (surviving husband Luigi Roninella). Sister to Francesco and Maria Spadafora, Giovanni and Franca Spadafora all of Italy. Sister-in-law to Antoinetta and Salvatore Bonasso, Marietta Campanaro (late husband Antonio), Frank Mancina (late wife Angelina). Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, U.S.A. and Italy. Angela was a member of the Italian Ladies Rosary group at St. Angela Merici Church. Angela was the Matriarch of the family that banded us all together. Many of generations, came from near and far to enjoy and cherish the bread she use to bake in the wee hours of the morning for the family business. She leaves a lasting legacy in her family, whom she treasured beyond all else. She loved too much to ever be forgotten. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 17 00 Tecumseh Rd., East on Thursday January 28, 2010 from 7-9 p.m., and on Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday January 30, 2010 (PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE) at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Special thanks to all the staff at Huron Lodge where she was fondly known as the Nonna of Huron Lodge. Thanks to the staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital for their special care and compassion shown to our Mother.
