Obituary of Harold James Kane
Kane, Harold James Suddenly on January 23, 2010 at the age of 87 years, after a courageous battle with cancer, heart disease, arthritis and diabetes. Reunited with his beloved wife Mae Bailey (1992). Son of the late Hugh & Amy Kane. Brother of Syd Smith. Predeceased by brother Bert Smith (2008) and his late Kane brothers Charlie, Mike & Joe. Survived by several nieces & nephews. Harold served in R.C.A.F. during W.W.II. Harold and Mae lived in St. Petersburg Florida for many years where he worked for the City of St. Pete's. Harold is survived by his long time friend and caregiver Levita Marcos and her family. Mr. Kane was the former past councillor for Sun Parlor # 654 U.C.T. of Windsor, also P.C. of Sunshine C. known as H.K. Willson Co. #649. He was a member of the Mended Hearts Inc. and received many awards for services rendered as well as a member of Motor City Sertoma Club of Windsor. Friends are welcome at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Wednesday January 28, 2010 at 6:00PM for a prayer service. Cremation to follow. A private interment will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery - Maidstone at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
