Obituary of Josip Mazuran

MAZURAN, Josip "Joe" Passed away peacefully on January 10, 2010 at Hotel Dieu Grace hospital, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 71 years. Beloved husband of 30 years to Helena Mazuran (Nee Szutka). Loving and devoted father to Juraj Mazuran and wife Amy-Jo, and Josip Mazuran Jr.; both of Windsor. Predeceased by parents Juraj and Mara Mazuran and sister Jana Mazuran. Cherished nephew to Kata Spanjevic of Windsor, the late Mate Mazuran and surviving wife Slavka of France, the late Dujo and Barbara Mazuran, the late Mile Mazuran and surviving wife Maca, the late Ivica Mazuran, the late Rudy and Jana Mazuran, and Mica Mazuran and wife Maca of Croatia. Dear cousin to Slavko and Dolores Mazuran and Zlatko and Mira Mazuran; both of Georgetown. Dear brother-in-law to Josef and Maria Szutka and family of Windsor, Andrzej and Krystyna Krzykawska and Franciszek and Maria Broz; both of Poland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews around the world. Josip will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Mazuran was a retired employee of Chryslers and a member of CAW Local 444, St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church and the Croatian Centre. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 from 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers Wednesday at 8 p.m. Funeral services on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:15 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the 4th floor staff at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital for their compassion and care provided to Josip and his family.
