Obituary of Cora Wegener

WEGENER, Cora ( nee Heap ) Feb.27, 1935 - Dec. 24, 2009 It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Cora on December 24 th, 2009 in her 74th year. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband and best buddy of 53 years August ( Gus ). Beloved mother of Janet & Tom Brent of Windsor, Gary & Kathryn Wegener of Sault Ste. Marie. Devoted grandmother to Jennifer Cowie of Toronto, Adam Boismier of Calgary, Matthew, Spencer, and Nicholas Wegener all of Sault Ste. Marie, and Jena & Aaron Simpson of Woodslee. Great grandchildren Kaleb and Aydin. Dear sister of Beryl & Ron Hyde, Brian Heap and Fred & Pat Heap. Cora will be forever remembered by her nieces & nephews Tracy, Ken, Karen, Brian, Grant, Rod, Chris, Victoria & Randy. Best friend of Maureen Marchuk for 53 years. Cora will be missed by her cribbage buddies Joan Inchowick, Margaret Stock and Kay Bernat. As per Cora's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2009 for an open house & memorial visitation at the Windsor Sportsmen's Club ( 2401 Dougall Ave ) from 2 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers please do a random act of kindness in Cora's name or memorial donations may be made to the Lung Assocation or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre , envelopes & donation kiosk available at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home 1700 Tecumseh Rd East ( 519-253-7234 ) .
