Obituary of Anne Chopiak

CHOPIAK, Anne (nee: Philipow) Passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2009. Beloved wife to the late Matthew (1980). Dearest mother of Edna Mary and husband Ted Wojcik. Loving sister to Peter (Dolores) Philipow, Irene and her husband, the late Alex Philipow. Cherished grandmother to Tanya (Sam) Edmunds and Tamara (James) Lanigan. Sweetest Babi to Sarah Manschot, Lacey (Barry) Keith and Laney (James) McVeity. Also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Anne was born in the Sudbury district. She spent much of her life in the Windsor area, where she was a devoted member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Orthodox Church. She will be particularly missed by her friends in the Ukrainian Women's Assoc, Lesia Ukrainka, Windsor Branch. E. on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Panakhyda on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Relatives and friends are requested to meet at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (2000 Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.
