Obituary of George Ross Cannata

CANNATA- George "Papa Smurf" Suddenly passed away on November 28, 2009 at the age of 64 years. Loving and devoted husband of 44 years to Virginia (nee Morris). The absolute best dad to Nancy and Dan Serecin, Christine and Jeff Mayne and George and Crystal McIntosh. Very proud Papa of Tiffany, Anthony, Kendra, Amanda, Kandice, Marcus, and Emma. Dearest brother of Madeline, Jean and John. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. George retired from CP Railway after 35 years of service. His next adventure brought him many new friends during his 7 years working at Hotel Dieu Hospital. He also dedicated his time and big heart volunteering for Huron Lodge. George loved life and loved to smile. He enjoyed the last couple of summers relaxing with family and friends at Campers Cove Campground. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Road East, on Tuesday December 1, 2009 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral Services on Wednesday December 2, 2009 at 10:00am in the Chapel.
