Obituary of Arline Bailey

Arline Ellen Marie Emery was born December 21, 1925 in Chatham ON, and passed away February 27, 2020, aged 94, at Seasons in Amherstburg ON. She married Keith Davies in 1951 and they had two daughters, Carol and Susan. She worked part time in school libraries. The family enjoyed camping trips and nature walks, skating, and canoeing. Keith passed away in 1969. Arline married Justin Bailey in 1974. He had 4 children, Ray, Ralph, Bruce, and Sharon. They became her second family. Arline and Justin travelled extensively and enjoyed retirement. Arline loved being a Mom and Grandma to all the children of both families. Justin passed away in 2008. She was predeceased by her parents Melina and Harold Emery. She was predeceased by both husbands, her sister Paula, two nephews, daughter in law Liz and son in law Paul. She is survived by her daughters Carol Pedersen and Susan (Karl) Maceyovski, Ray Bailey, Ralph (Margo) Bailey, Bruce (Maria) Bailey, Sharon Williamson, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her lifelong friend Anna Henshaw. She was an extremely kind person and made numerous friends at Southwinds and The Catholic Women's League. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful, caring staff of Seasons Amherstburg, and her ParaMed workers Justin and Tanya for all the extraordinary care. Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. & 7 p.m. - 9 p..m. The Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, in Arline's name would be appreciated.
