Obituary of Nahil Najjar

NAJJAR Nahil "Tete" Passed away with her loving family at her side, peacefully, on October 14, 2009 at Windsor Regional Hospital-Met Campus at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of the late George Najjar (1980). Beloved mother of Rima and husband Nicola Qawwas of Windsor; the late Mary Abdallah (February 2008) and her surviving husband Anton of Palestine, Issa Najjar of Montreal and his late wife Suhad (2001), and the late Samir Najjar (1980). Dear "Tete" of Zahia Qawwas, Badi Qawwas, Natalie and husband Jeff Boyle, George Qawwas and Danielle, Tanya Abdallah, Tawfiq Abdallah, Teddy Abdallah, and George and Samir Najjar. Dear sister of Juliette Khasho; Sara Sous, Jeries Sous all of Palestine; and Hanna Sous of Jordan. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.Mrs. Najjar, or "Tete" as she was lovingly known to her family, and their friends, will be dearly missed. The family would like to thank family physician Dr. Steven Berecz, Dr. Alam of the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, and the satff of the 4th Floor at Windsor Regional Hospital, and a special thanks to her personal support worker Lucy, for the genuine care and compassion over the last 5 years. . Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Friday October 16, 2009 from 2-5 pm & 7-9 pm. Prayers Friday at 8:00 pm. Funeral Service Saturday October 17, 2009 at 9:45 am then to St. Ignatius of Antioch Orthodox Church for Service at 10:30 am. Fr. Joseph Gereige officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
