Obituary of Harold Ernest Holmes

HOLMES, Harold Ernest Passed away peacefully on October 4, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of 57 years to Margaret (nee Hrycaniuk). Loving father to Judith Holmes-Medler (Mark); Thomas Randall Holmes; and pre-deceased by sons Michael Patrick and Anthony Philip. Cherished grandpa to Jamie-Lynn Trepanier-Molina (David), John Michael, Jessamyn; and great-grandfather to Logan Borrowman. Dear brother to Margaret Fyfe and her late husband Jack ; Bill Holmes (Dorothy), and late brother Peter. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mr Holmes was the Chair of the Windsor Regional Special Olympics for 39 years, a member of Harmony Lodge No. 579 A.F. & A.M., a member of Alhambra Guzera Caravan 72 of Windsor, and a retired employee of Canadian Pacific Railways. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Tuesday October 6, 2009 from 7-9 pm., and on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Alhambra Guzera Caravan prayers Tuesday at 7:30 pm., and a Masonic service, under the auspices of Harmony Lodge No. 579 , Wednesday at 3:00 pm. Funeral Service Thursday October 8, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Windsor Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
