Obituary of Salvatore Bonventre

BONVENTRE, Salvatore Passed away peacefully, June 28, 2009, at home with his beloved wife at his side, at the age of 79 years. Dearest husband of Rosalia (nee Flores) for 48 years. Dearest father to Jim Bonventre and wife Marie, and Paul Bonventre and wife Diana. Predeceased by his parents Girolamo and Antonietta. Cherished grandfather to Alicia, Natalie, Cassandra and Jordan. Dear brother of Giacomina, (Italy), Dina, (Switzerland), and the late Giovannina, (Italy). Dear brother-in-law of Benny and wife Anna Maniaci and family, Paolo and wife Rosa Galante and family and Vito and wife Sandy Flores and family. Salvatore is survived by many nieces and nephews. Salvatore was recently able to attend the Greatest Hits Live concert at the Capitol Theatre, where he watched his sons, Jim play drums and Paul at the front of house on sound board. They were his pride and joy in life. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, July 2, 2009, at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
