Obituary of Michael Patrick Kavanaugh

KAVANAUGH, Michael Patrick March 11, 1952 - June 23, 2009 57 years young. Passed away June 23, 2009 , Soul mate and truly dedicated to his true love - Julia Gadoury. Loving father to "Daddy's 'Lil Girl " Brandy Kavanaugh. Devoted grandfather to Tristen " Boo Boo" Tristen was Grandpa's "Quicker Picker Upper". Tristen was Grandpa's motivation to fight the battle against ALS for the past 3 and a half years. Michael is predeceased by his parents Gerald & Wynnie Kavanaugh. Beloved son in law to Marion Mattatall. Special nephew to Shirley Ellis. Special cousin to Lisa & Derek DeMonte and their children Kaden, Adrienna and Caliegh. Brother to Richard Cockran, Mary Alice Dennett, Diane Lawhead, Jerry Kavanaugh, Wanda Lawhead, Joan Glousher , Neil Kavanaugh, Larry Kavanaugh and Tom Kavanaugh. A very special thankyou to Sharon Colman of Windsor ALS for all your love & dedication to Michael and all care given to him & his extended family over the past 5 years. Upon Michael's passing he donated his brain stem for research of ALS. VISITATION AT THE WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd E on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and Friday 2 to 5 & 7 to 9 PM. A celebration of Michael's life will take place on Friday June 26, 2009 at 7:30 PM in the chapel. Stuart Mitchell Officiating . Cremation to follow.
