Obituary of Aldo Giampuzzi

GIAMPUZZI, Aldo. Born in Pola, Istria, Italy. After a long and courageous battle, Aldo passed away peacefully on June 21, 2009 at the age of 72 years. Beloved husband to Maria (nee Casciani). Loving father to Cristina. Cherished son of Vladimiro (1986) and Emilia (Zubin) (2009). Adored brother of Adelmo and (Evelina) of Windsor. Dear brother-in-law to Adino (2004) (Rose) Casciani of Michigan and Giovanni (Alice) Casciani of New York. Dear uncle to Danilo (Marie 2005) Giampuzzi, Nadia (Robert) Giampuzzi-Plackmann, Vladio (Maria) Giampuzzi, Paul (Theresa) Casciani, Rosanna (Matt) Casciani-Collins, Daniela (Robert) Muldoch, Claudia Casciani and many special great nieces and nephews and God-children. He will be greatly missed by many compari and friends. Aldo was a retired employee from Canadian Engineering and Kelsey Hayes. Aldo was a very passionate and active member of the Giovanni Caboto Club since 1959, serving as the Secretary of Finance for 21 years. He was also a founding member of the Caboto Bocciofila, 1965, and played, coached and managed Caboto soccer teams for over 20 years. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Wednesday at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Theresa Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Hospice of Windsor or Italian Canadian Handicapable Association. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Malden Park Continuing Care, 3 South, Bayshore Home Health Care and its PSW's, and Saint Elizabeth Health Care for their compassionate care. Also, special thanks to Windsor Regional Cancer Centre - Dr. Springer, Dr. Kanjeekal and nurses Liz and Carla, and the Hospice of Windsor team, especially Dr. Gall for their exceptional care provided.
