Obituary of Joseph Peter Nazarej

NAZAREJ, Joseph (Joe) Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on May 25, 2009 at Riverside Place at the age of 81. Reunited with his beloved mother Margaret (1988) and father John (1982). He will be deeply missed by his sisters Marge Mallen and her late husband Pat (2002) and Mary (Pittl) Bachiu. Treasured uncle of Karen (Mallen) McConnell and husband Sean of Lakeshore; Jennifer (Bachiu) Longworth and husband Shawn of St. Thomas; Lonnie Pittl (2007) and Jay Pittl. Dearest great uncle of Madison & Emma McConnell; Morgan & Evan Longworth and Lauren, Courtney & Ariel Pittl. Many relatives & friends remain in Canada, USA and Slovakia. Many years ago, Joe was a trusted employee of Tunnel BBQ and Cut-Rate Restaurant Supplies. Joe was a member of the K of C #4924 and member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church. The family is grateful to all the staff of Riverside Place who were so caring and supportive of Joe over the last few years. The family wishes to thank Karen for lovingly taking care of her uncle"s needs and doing everything she could to fulfil his wishes. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9. Prayers Wednesday 8 pm. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Slovak Catholic Church (1532 Alexis Road) from 10:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations in Joe"s memory to the John McGivney Children"s Centre, 12050 Arbour Rd., Tecumseh, ON would be appreciated by the family.
