Obituary of Robert Stanley Holmes

HOLMES, Robert "Bob" Stanley Passed away peacefully on May 13, 2009 at Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 74 years. Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Klinger) (2001). Cherished father of Barbara and husband Dr. Mario Barresi, Stephanie and husband Keith Lawrence of London, England, Gregory and David. Precious grandfather of Adam and Vanessa Barresi and Kieran, Euan and Meaghan Lawrence. Loving son of the late Ivan and Margaret Holmes. Beloved brother of Ivan and Donna Holmes, Murray and the late Gloria Holmes, Julie and Mike Szymanski, Bill Holmes and Vicki. Cherished brother-in-law of Adam (2003) and Rose Klinger, Mary Jane Cusinato (2007) and husband Dino, Diane Hodut and husband Mike (2003) and the late Betty Ann Breslin (1998). Cherished friend of Pat Bedard. Bob will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, close relatives and good friends. Bob was a retired Business Teacher from St. Clair College. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 7 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 9:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to Corpus Christi Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Windsor Essex Down Syndrome Parent Association "Up About Down" would be appreciated by the family.
