Obituary of Sharon Lynn Parent

PARENT, Sharon Lynn (nee O'Connor) It is with unspeakable sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Lynn Parent who was called to Heaven on April 24, 2009 after a lengthy and hard fought battle with cancer. Sharon's warm and loving heart, her passion for life, and her beautiful sparkle will forever be felt by loving husband Gil, cherished daughter Becky and partner Jonathan England and very treasured granddaughters, Ally (Alexandra) and Lizzy (Elizabeth) Dietrich. Sharon will be sadly missed by her mother Sarah (Sadie) O'Connor, cherished brothers Jim (Diane), Rick (Joanne), Bob (Diane) O'Connor, and loving sisters Maureen O'Connor, Mary Leroux, Elaine (Larry) McCarthy, Joanne Campbell and Kim O'Connor. She also leaves loving brother-in-law Morris (Moe) Parent, sisters-in-law Patricia Parent, Ellen O'Connor as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends whom she loved so very much. She looked forward to seeing those who are waiting in Heaven to hold her again; her son Michael, father Gerald, brothers Gerald (Jake), Donald, Patrick, sisters Kathie Alexander and Jackie Hand and all of her beloved brothers and sisters in law. Sharon spent all of her life concerned with helping others whether they were family, friends or strangers in need. She was a proud former member of the Alhambra Garcia #230 McGregor where she adored helping "God's special children", as well as the Canadian Cancer Society. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services Monday, April 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
