Obituary of Elias Ronholm

RONHOLM, Elias "Jake" Passed away peacefully on April 22, 2009 surrounded by his loving family at Malden Park Continuing Care at the age of 94 years. Beloved Husband of 65 years to Ivy (nee Lawrenson). Loving dad to Linda Mepham and husband Brian of Cottam, and Ron Ronholm and wife Linda of Windsor. Cherished Grandpa to Christine Mepham, Dan Mepham, Joe Ronholm and wife Christi, Ryan Ronholm, Eric Ronholm, and great-grandson Ethan Ronholm. Dear brother to Dora Conrad, Victor Ronholm, and also predeceased by his 7 siblings. Special uncle to Donald Cookson and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ronholm was a retired employee of General Motors Transmission Plant and a member of C.A.W. Local 1973. The family wishes to thank the 6th floor Metropolitan Hospital nursing staff, and 3rd floor Malden Park Complex Care Unit for their excellent care. Also for the exceptional care of Dr. Robert Gibb and his staff, Jacqui Tofflemire Flood and Cynthia (Wright) for their care for Jake, and Reverend Bill Bradley for his comforting presence. Visitation at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Friday, April 24, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Rev. William Bradley officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
