Obituary of Pietro Antonio Zongaro

ZONGARO, Pietro (Tony). 78 years. Passed away peacefully, on April 16, 2009, surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 52 years to Silvana. Loving father to Adelina Urbanski and husband John of Mississauga, Henry Zongaro and wife Lisa of Toronto, Julie Tape and husband Ken of Windsor. Cherished Nonno to James and Jenna Urbanski, Emma and Nathaniel Zongaro and Emily and Connor Tape. Predeceased by siblings Rosina, Emma, Gino, Guarino, Aldo, Regina and Mario. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Mr. Zongaro was a retired employee of Chrysler and a member of CAW Local 444. Tony was very passionate about gardening, his fig trees, and was an avid soccer fan. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 6 - 9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday 8 p.m. Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd. at Tecumseh Rd. E.) for visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
