Dear Ron and Family, Please know that my thoughts and prayers remain with you as you help each other through this journey. Though you will miss her physical presence, I truly believe that God has called her 'home' to be with the love of her life and the family and friends passed over before her. Please listen and keep watch for her spiritual presence which will happen in most unique ways...both at Met Hospital and around those she will continue to love and support (especially you, Ron, for there is a special kind of love between a mother and her son). May your treasured memories and the gifts that she shared, help console you in a gentle way, bringing you comfort, a smile to your heart and strength to your spirit. Though I have sent you this verse in a card, it is too beautiful to not pass it on to you today. May it bring you some moment of comfort at this difficult time: As you honour your mother, this special lady, Luigia, you'll never forget your mother's face, the sound of her voice, the gentleness of her touch...they let you know you were loved. You'll never forget the stories she told, the traditions she handed down...they let you know who you are. You'll never forget the lessons she taught, the things she stood for...they are her gift and your legacy. You'll never forget, and you'll always know that you honour her every day in how you live and who you are.
