Obituary of Antonio Marvelli

MARVELLI Antonio "Tony" Passed away Friday March 27, 2009 with his loving and caring family by his side, at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus, at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband and soulmate of Maria (nee Pelle). Dear father of Domenic Marvelli and wife Patty; Sara and the late Darrell Linton (2008): RosaMaria and husband Pasquale Mazza, all of Windsor; and pre-deceased by his beloved daughter Giuseppina "Josie" Marvelli (2007). Caro Nonno of Steven and Tony Marvelli; Nicole, James and Ashley Simoni; and David, Frank and Marirose Josie Mazza , all of Windsor. Dear brother of Concetta and Bruno Lapico, of Windsor; Teresa and Vincenzo Ferreri of Torino, Italy; Vincenzo and Filomena Marvelli of Ardore Marina, Calabria, Italy; and Giudita and Bruno Pelle of Windsor. Dear Brother-in-law of Rosina and Antonio Pisciuneri of Italy. Caro Zio to many nieces and nephews. Mr. Marvelli immigrated to Canada in April of 1954. He became proficient in many occupations, most notably, the former Windsor Lumber Company on Wyandotte St., West, and From Kelsey-Hayes, where he was retired from, following many years of dedicated service. Mr. Marvelli was a member of C.A.W. Local 195. Tony was passionate about his wine, garden, and always assuring that his family and friends were #1 on his list. He will be sadly missed by his neighbours, and by those of us who knew him as a friend. The family would like to acknowledge the care and compassion provided to the family by the nurses and staff of the Oncology Dept., 6 West, and 4 North, at Metropolitan Hospital. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Monday March 30, 2009 from 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Tuesday at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service Wednesday April 1, 2009 at 8:45 from the funeral home, then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
