Obituary of Olive Amelia Jones

JONES, Olive Amelia, Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 95 years of age. Reunited with her beloved husband, Charles Douglas Jones (2010). Cherished mother to William Jones (Susan) and grandmother to Jordana (Andy) and Colin (Stacey). Special “GG” to Avery, Liam and Ryan. Doug and Olive moved from Stratford, Ontario to Windsor, Ontario after WWII. They were avid travelers and were snowbirds in Dunedin Florida, where they cheered on their beloved Toronto Blue Jays. Olive enjoyed baking, sewing and knitting. In recent years, she also enjoyed listening to music on her radio. The family would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional care received by the staff at Tecumseh Extendicare Lakewood, especially Lisa and medical care by Dr. McLeod. If you desire, donations can be made to Hospice of Windsor Essex County. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in early March.
