Obituary of Hilda Herrmann

HERRMANN, Hilda ( nee Wojka ) February 17, 1936 - March 15, 2009. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, in her 73rd year. Loving and cherished wife of 55 wonderful years to Friedrich (Fred) Herrmann. Beloved mother of Rita and husband Charles Burke, Debra and husband Mark McCauley, Douglas Herrmann and Tammy Reynolds. Proud Grandmother of Chas, Dustin, Scott, Chloe, Cassie, and Dane. Special friend to Taylor, Mackenzie, and Kendall. Daughter of the late Friedrich and Olga Wojka. Survived by loving sister Lydia Laetsch (Toledo), predeceased by brothers Richard and Roman. Loving daughter-in-law to Emil and Katerina Herrmann (predeceased). Dear sister-in-law to Hilda and Edward (deceased) Smith, Emil and Judy Herrmann, Albert Herrmann (deceased), Mona Herrmann. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Hilda came to Canada in 1951 to settle in Winnipeg Manitoba, where she met her life-long love and husband Fred. Hilda lived, loving and caring for her family and cherished every moment with her six grandchildren. Hilda enjoyed her close friends from General Motors Trim (retired 1996). Friends may call at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services in the Chapel on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Robert E. Voelker of Gethsemane Lutheran Church officiating. Interment at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Peter Kuhlman for decades of caring and to caregivers Elizabeth and Daphane and the entire Bayshore caregivers.
