Obituary of Fernanda Olivieri

OLIVIERI, Fernanda (nee Quaglia) Of Gagliano Aterno, Italy, peacefully on March 10 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her only child Rina Spadini (2009), her husband Pasquale, and brothers Domenico, Gennaro and Alessandro Quaglia. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her son in-law Antonio Spadini, her grandchildren Pat Spadini (Shannon Dykes) and Maria Thompson (Rob) of London and Frank Spadini of Windsor. She will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren Karla, Laura, Emma, Sarah, Logan and Evan and the family and friends in the Italian community of Windsor who remember her fondly. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Riverside Place Nursing Home for their unwavering care and support in her last years. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, March 12, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm with prayers at 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 8:45 am from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for a Funeral Mass at 9:30 am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are requested to direct their contributions to the Italian Canadian Handicapable Association, the Scalabrini Foundation for the Poor or Riverside Place Nursing Home.
