Obituary of Giacomo Gelmini

Gelmini, Giacomo "Jack" 78 yrs, after a courageous battle with cancer on March 1, 2009. Loving husband of 50 yrs to Maria (nee Girardi) Beloved son of the late Rosa (nee Senter) and Olimpio Gelmini. Dear father to Lucio of Edmonton, and Walter and wife Diane of LaSalle. Dear grandfather to Jonathan and Cathrine. Dear brother to Damiano and Fulvia of Italy, Emilio and Uta of Germany and the late Ada, Bruno, Lidia, Sylvana and Ricardo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and good friends. Giacomo was a member of the Caboto Club for 35 yrs., retired from Windsor Housing Authority, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Windsor Regional Hospital Met Campus, and Malden Park Palliative Care. Resting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 pm. Prayers 7:30 pm. Funeral Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 8:45 am from the Funeral Home to Most Precious Blood Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 am.
