Obituary of Stefan a.k.a. Steve Lochinger

LOCHINGER, Stefan "Steve" Passed away peacefully on February 22, 2009 at Hospice Village Residence, at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of 50 years to Katharina (Nee Jung). Loving father to Frank Lochinger. Predeceased by parents Johan and Katharina Lochinger, sisters Julianna Lochinger, Katharina and her husband Joseph Mayerhofer. Dear brother to Betty Kovacs, James and wife Kathleen Lochinger and Margaret and husband Peter Herbert. Dear cousin to Carl and wife Theresa Lochinger. Steve will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many cousins in Hungary and Germany. Steve was a longtime member of St. Michael's German Catholic Church, Holy Name Society at St. Michael's German Church and the Teutonia Club. Mr. Lochinger retired in 1982 from Chrysler Canada after 30 years of dedicated service, and was a member of C.A.W. Local 444. A heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nursing staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus and Hospice Village Residence for their compassion and care shown to Steve and his family. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Michael's German Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre or Hospice Village Residence.
