Obituary of Donald Joseph Morand

MORAND Donald Joseph Passed away suddenly, at Windsor Regional Hospital Centre-Met Campus, on February 12, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband and best friend of 48 years to Ruth (nee Blanchfield). Dear father of Ken Morand of Tecumseh; and Shane Morand and wife Josie, of Oakville, Ont. Dear brother of Robert Morand and wife Gerryl of Belle River; Richard Morand of Windsor; and Doug Morand of Harrow. Don is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Morand was retired, following many years of service as an orderley at Ottawa General Hospital, was a member of the Moose Lodge, and participated in the Card Club at the K of C Riverside Council. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Sunday February 15, 2009 from 2:00 pm, until time of Funeral Service to celebrate Don's life at 4:00 pm. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
