Obituary of Dr. Percy Thomas Demers

DEMERS- DR. PERCY 73 yrs. On April 9, 2002 taken from us suddenly. Loving husband of Patricia (Nee Morand) with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage. Loving father of Dennis and Chris Kotkowicz, Michelle and friend Jim Barta, Greg and wife Diane (Perissinotti), Janice and husband John Kaschak, Tom, Renee Demers and Tim Eansor and Collette and husband John Gorski. He will live forever in the hearts of his fourteen grandchildren: Jason and wife Tina, Justin and Jordan Campeau, Keith, Brandon, and Shayna Kaschak, Jenny and Matt Demers, Elisa, Erica, and Darren Demers, Joshua Demers, Nicole and Samantha Gorski. Beloved brother of Jeanne and her late husband Sam Breault, Roland Demers and wife Ann, Marcel Demers and Shirley Almond, Bernice and husband Jack Donaldson, and Doreen and husband Justice Kenneth Ouellette. Dear brother-in-law of Geraldine and late husband Joe Fontaine, Late Ronald Morand, Gary Morand and late wife Gloria and Jay Morand and wife Cheryl. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his office nurse of many years Patricia Sovran. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched. His generous manner enabled him to embrace his family and friends with love and devotion that will forever be remembered. Dr. Percy Demers was accepted on Staff at Hotel Dieu Hospital in July 1960 as a specialist in internal medicine. He was instrumental in developing the first CCU at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Visitation for Dr. Percy Demers will be held at ST. ANNE'S CHURCH 12233 TECUMSEH ROAD EAST ON FRIDAY APRIL 12, 2002 FROM 2PM TO 5PM AND 7PM TO 9PM and on SATURDAY APRIL 13, 2002 FROM 9:30 AM until time of funeral mass at 10:00 am.Parish prayers Friday at 4 p.m. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to the HDH-Grace Hospital Mental Health Development Fund or to the HDH-Grace Cardiac Care Services would be appreciated by the family.
