Obituary of Linda Ellen Omand

OMAND, Linda Ellen (nee Reid) Apr.2, 1944 - Jan. 12, 2009. Peacefully passed away after a brief illness at the age of 64 years. Linda loved her family and will always be remembered for leaving footsteps in our hearts. Much loved mother and best friend that will be sadly missed by her daughters, Karen Sheldon and husband John of Brooklin, ON., and Janet Hurlimann and husband Patrick of Switzerland. Adored "Nana Oh-Oh" to Taylor Lynn and Jacee Ann Sheldon and Briar, Corrie and Dean Hurlimann. Predeceased by her parents Irv and Rose Reid. Dear sister to Pat McMurchy and husband John of Oakville, ON. Linda will be missed by her walking companion "Tipper". Special thanks to Nancy Morton, Colleen Sylvestre, Keri Levesque and Dr. Hamm for their assistance and compassion provided to Linda during her illness. According to Linda's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honour Linda's life will take place in the summer. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (Unit 2-3201 Marentette Avenue, Windsor, Ontario N8X 4G3 would be appreciated by the family.
