Obituary of Saverio Minardi

MINARDI, Saverio (Sam) Passed away peacefully at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met. Campus on January 9, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of his dear wife Maria (nee Gallo) - 1993. Devoted and loving father of Nick Minardi and Vincenza of Windsor, John Minardi and wife Ida of Toronto, Tony Minardi and wife Lorraine of Florida, and late daughter Rita Minardi - 2004. Predeceased by his dear daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ann - 2000. Cherished nonno of Theresa, Sam, Nicole, Jim, Anne-Marie, Michael, and Caro bis-nonno of Sean and Nicholas. Dear brother of Frank Minardi and wife Maria, and brother-in-law of Gina De Luca and husband Tony of Florida. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., E. on Saturday, January 10, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Sunday 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009 at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
