Obituary of Marie Renaud
It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Jean Therese "Terry" Renaud nee-Pelletier, announce that she has returned to her heavenly home on January 18, 2025 at the incredible age of 93. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her final days and ultimately gave her peace. Terry was born to the late Albert and Alice Pelletier, in Sturgeon Falls, Nipissing District, Ontario, on March 18, 1931. She is reunited with her siblings Yolande “Dolly”, Armand, Roland, and Claudette in heaven. She married her best friend Maurice “Moe” Renaud (2000) on July 29th, 1950. Together, they had three beautiful boys: Philip (Cheryl 2020), Michael (Charlene), and Paul (Frances) Renaud. The love of her family grew into a beautiful tree as she became a treasured Mémé to Stacey (Christopher), Michael (2022), Danielle (Victor), Holly (Wabuya) and Kristen (James).
She was blessed to see her legacy further expand with ten great grandchildren: Kennith (2006), Amber, Megan, Nicholas, Evalyn, Jack, Blake G, Wazha, Ellie and Blake P. Terry will be dearly remembered by many family members, including many nieces, nephews, and friends. Among Terry's most significant accomplishments was raising her three successful sons, who she held close as her pride and joy. She served as a receptionist for Imperial Optical until her retirement. She was a faithful follower of the Catholic Church and will be missed by her parish friends at St. Rose of Lima Church, which she attended until its closing in 2009.
Memories most dear and kept close were dancing in "the good old days," playing cards with a rye and water in hand, Boxing Day with her tourtière pies and all her family surrounded at the table, and, of course, family reunions and trips to Florida with her siblings. Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness, strength, faith and love. She served her Lord proudly, and in His light we find comfort.
Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel - Central Chapel. A private family service has taken place. Please, in lieu of flowers, if you would like to share a donation in Terry's memory, charities close to her heart were: The Alzheimer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation, and The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
