Mr. Solcz the friendliest and warmest man of his stature, period. He and his family were over-the-top helpful to my brother Chris dedicating time and resources to design bobsleigh runners at no cost. Then when a book about my brother was released Mr. Solcz bought a box of the biographies without second thought. No hint of ego, all humility, complete self-control with respect to managing a worldwide operation, a full realization of his professional and person potential - an example of what all men should aspire to be.

Our sincere condolences to the Solcz family.
We had the privilege of being associated with Mike Senior and his wonderful family.
Mike was a real leader and visionary who made Valiant Machine and Tool’s a powerhouse in the field of engineering and automation, his acuity allowed him to unearth and develop, with all his collaborators, innovative technologies.
He was kind and compassionate and will greatly be missed.

To the Solcz family, I will never forget how Mike loved and cherished his workers. Alfred was trained in 1962 and retired in 2007.. That's 45 year of respect on the job. Mike always had a kind word, always asked how everything was and his contagious smile. He came to our parents and family funerals. Even after being retired for14 years. He came to Alfreds funeral. He was a wonderful gift to all who knew him. He is with all those who went before him. They welcomed him with open arms.

Shrewd in business, but friendly and professional always. A kind a giving soul to those less blessed. It's funny how we get to know one another in life. I had the pleasure of getting to know Mike through his son's following Belle River High School. Marty and I were in a band together and have maintained contact through busy lives. Mike and I had contact on several occasions over the last 40 years and he always spoke with pride about his boys. It has been a pleasure knowing the Solcz clan and Mike will long be fondly remembered.

Aunt Doreen, Len, Marty, Mike, Mark and Families,
We are so deeply sorry for your loss. During this week we not only reflect on all the tremendous achievements uncle Mike has accomplished in his lifetime, but we remember his humble nature and his unwavering love for his family. From early years memories of Christmas Eve dinners on Chandler rd to present day visits he made to the shop, just to see how we were doing. Sitting behind my desk I would see him walk through the doors and his smile would always brighten my day and warm my heart. He would ask how Steve was doing, Meagan in Edmonton, Mike and Lauren, he remembered everyone and took a genuine interest to make sure the family was well. As I write this, I tear up, I will miss those visits, but I will cherish the memories and try to uphold those family values he lived so well.

In a lifetime, it is truly a wonder to encounter a giant who walked among us, a person of great dignity, a powerful influence who desired what is best for his community, his colleagues and those who were fortunate enough to work with him. Mr. Solcz was this person who lived his best life as an example to all: a proud innovator, a compassionate leader, a devoted family man. We will remember him for his kindness with always a good word to say, always interested in what you were doing or what you thought about the things that mattered in our world. He engaged others and made them better for the experience. To the Solcz family, our heartfelt condolences. May your treasured memories bring solace in this time of grieving. His was truly a life well-lived. May he always be remembered.

The world has lost a truly remarkable man who definitely left his mark here on Earth. Mr. Solcz was a one-of-a-kind gentleman, in every sense of the word, who earned immeasurable respect throughout his lifetime. He possessed so many good qualities and was a true role model. Every interaction that anyone I know had with him was always positive.
I must say that I think of him VERY often when I swing a golf club. I will never forget the lesson he taught me about how taking a gentle swing will give you much more success than when trying to kill the ball. It was about twenty years ago that he gave me that little tidbit and yet it still resonates with me almost every time I am on the golf course. It amazes me how such a small piece of advice about the crazy sport of golf could leave such a big impact on me. I suppose that is the essence that was Mr. Michael Solcz and perhaps a very good metaphor of his approach to life in general.
May God give you all strength during the difficult time ahead and rest the soul of dear Mr. Solcz.
In deepest sympathy,
Dr. Monique Siara and family

My condolences to the Solcz family. My memory of Mr. Solcz is special and I would like to share it. At the wedding of Jamie Henderson and Loretta Stoyko, Mr. Solcz introduced himself to me while we were standing beside one another. During our conversation, we discovered we shared the same birthdate. He then asked what year I was born and I told him "1959". He told me I was the same age as his company! Several times after that, we happened to be at the same function or activity. Every time he would come over and visit with me because he remembered our shared birthdate. Your father & husband was a very special man and I was fortunate to have met him.

To the Solcz family;
Please accept my sincere condolences. I am heartbroken for you in the loss of your beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather. I honour the kind and generous man he was and think of how your family took such good care of our family when Spencer was diagnosed with cancer and moved to his Heavenly Home, free from pain, ten years ago this past Saturday. Not sure it is a coincidence that it is the same day Mr. Solcz has now also joined him in Heaven. I bet they are both having some great conversations already! I pray that God’s Peace would surround and comfort you and continue to remind you of the amazing legacy he has left behind of what it means to model genuine love for those he held dear, his strong faith and kindness to all, in your family, community and the World!

Having worked for the Valiant organization for nearly 28 years, I will always remember and respect the ability of Michael to graciously acknowledge and address employees by name, no matter his schedule, or their position within the organization.
