Obituary of Elizabeth Cyr

CYR Elizabeth "Isabelle" (nee Zappio) Passed away with her loving family at her side on December 13, 2008 at Windsor Regional Hospital Centre at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Clifford W. Cyr (1997). Dear mother of the late Patrick J. Cyr (1987) and his surviving wife Georgina. Dear Grandmother of David Cyr, and Lisa Sibley and husband Scott. Dear Great-Grandmother to Gavin and Nathan Sibley. Dear daughter of the late Leo and Lorenza Zappio. Dear sister of Julia Slisz and husband Joe ; Tom Zappio and wife Louise; and the late Pat Zappio and surviving wife Audrey, Don Zappio and surviving wife Helen, Josephine Parker and late husband Bill, Jim Zappio and his late wife Barb, Frances Allevato and her late husband Tony, and Rose Rose and her late husband Tom. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Isabelle was retired following many years of service at the General Motors Trim Plant, was a member of RCL Branch 255, and was a Veteran of WWll serving in the Royal Canadian Navy. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Monday December 15, 2008 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. A Service conducted by the Windsor Veterans Memorial Committee will take place on Monday evening at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Windsor Chapel.
