Pete grew up on Bell Island NL where he began his working career at Dosco's Iron Ore Mining Co. in Accounts Payable.  In 1963, when the mine was closing, he was transferred to the head office in Montreal as Supervisor of Data Processing.  With a desire to further his education, Pete accepted a part time position at the Computer Science Department at the University of Western Ontario in London so he could complete his BSc. in Computer Science.  Then as a two year full time student with a young family, he completed his MBA.  His career then took him to St. John's as Director of System Development at Computer Services; to Queen's Park Toronto, as Director, Systems Development at the Community of Social Services and finally to Hiram Walker's Windsor where he retired as Manager of U.S. and Canadian Payroll in 1997.

Upon retirement, Pete and Barbara enjoyed 27 winters in Florida, traveling, cruising, and being very involved in an active 55+ community.  Over the years, Pete played tennis, squash, golf, and senior's softball.  He supported and encouraged his children always attending their sports activities and often helped coach.

Pete was a proud member of the Parish of the Atonement Church and the Knights of Columbus.  He was a Past Grand Knight in Newfoundland and held various K of C positions over the years as well as volunteering in many Church Ministries.  Pete always displayed a sense of humor that was highlighted by unique "Puns" that flowed easily at appropriate times.  He had strong Faith.  His example of Christian Values was an inspiration to his family and those who knew him.

Special thanks to the staff at Sunrise Retirement Home and the Village at Aspen Lake for their kindness, care, and compassion to Peter during his residence there.  Pete, We loved you in life and we're grateful for your love, support, integrity, kindness, and generosity.  Your Life...Your "Journey To Eternity" was well lived.  May you REST IN PEACE.
