Obituary of Gerald Glovasky

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 83 on November 28, 2024. Beloved husband of 59 years to the love of his life, Scarlet (nee Dufour). Cherished father of the late infant son Gerald Guy, Patti Fram (Joe), Gerry Glovasky (Courtney Reaume), Katie Desjardins (Tim), and Krysta Glovasky-Ridsdale. Proud Papa of Greg Allan, Cassie and Brooke Fram; Maddox and Grayson Reaume, Grant and Baron Reaume-Glovasky; Kailyn Andrian (Kyle), Devin Desjardins; Krystal Bondy-Parry (Donnie). Loving Great-Papa of Adeline and Eli Andrian; Elena Bondy-Parry. Survived by his mother-in-law Della Dufour. Dear brother of Richard Glovasky (Debbie), Larry “Sam” Glovasky (Bonnie Kelly), the late Michael Glovasky (Bernice), and brother-in-law of Sandra Sauve (Ron), the late Nelson Dufour (Marylee), and Judy Wilson (Bob). Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret Glovasky, and father-in-law Herby Dufour. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Gerald retired after many years of dedicated service from Belle River High School, as the Head of the Guidance Department. In his retirement, he enjoyed wintering in Florida, and cruising throughout the world with Scarlet. He was a source of strength and a positive influence on everyone he knew.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Windsor Regional Renal Program for their dedicated care and compassion shown to Gerald over the past 5 years during his dialysis treatments.

Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 5-7 pm. Family and friends will be received at Our Lady of Atonement Church (2940 Forest Glade Dr.) on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
