Obituary of René Gagnon

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 81 on November 28, 2024. Beloved husband of 59 years to Fern. Cherished father of Dan (Paula) and Brigitte (Paulette). Proud Pépère of Joshua. Dear brother of late Armand, Rina (Bill), Ginette (late Carl), late Norma (Paul), and brother-in-law of Fernand, Lorraine (Roland), Jeaninne (Guy), and late Roger. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

René retired from Chrysler, GM and Ford after many years of dedicated service as a machine repairman. In his retirement, René enjoyed travelling and golf. Above all, family was his pride and joy. The family would like to thank the PSW’s of Bayshore, VON, and WRH-Met Campus, especially the Oncology and ICU staff for all their dedicated care and compassion shown to René and the family.

At René’s request, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - Banwell Chapel (519-253-7235). Family and friends are invited to meet at Good Shephard Parish (462 Advance Blvd.) on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, for Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
