Obituary of Edmond Soulliere
Ed, born June 25, 1939, in Windsor Ontario, passed away peacefully November 21, 2024.
Beloved husband of 46 years to Colleen (nee Hilderman). He will be lovingly remembered by daughter Geri Soulliere and her children Elise Keller (Johnny), Justine Keller (Jaspreet), Erica Graham (Matt) and her grandchildren Manning, Bayer, Heston, Malcolm, Copeland, Jane, Claire and Desiree; son Guy Soulliere (Gary); daughter Michelle McDonald-Potvin (Guy) and their children Emma (Julian), Joshua (BethAnn), Jeremy and grandson Jaxon; daughter Danielle (Tim) and their children Madeleine and Chantal (Milo); son Ryan (Heather) and their children Bailey (Greg) and Logan (Rose). He will be especially missed by his cherished pets Dolly and Toast.
Cherished brother to Paul Soulliere (Marie 2023), Margaret Soulliere, Annette Glendenning, Rosemary Arrowsmith (John) and Bernadette Chinneck (Michael).
Predeceased by mother, Aimee Soulliere (2002); father, Henry Soulliere (1987); brother, Frank Soulliere (2017); and brother, Gerald Soulliere (1948).
He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as friends and neighbours in Windsor and Florida.
Ed was a dedicated and passionate entrepreneur. He was the founder and operator of Metro Windsor Catering Services for 52 years. He had several other successful business ventures including the first Budget Rent-A-Car franchise in Windsor, the first AMC Jeep Renault dealership, and Metro Submarine. He had many hobbies and interests over the years as well, like boating, car racing, model trains, his tomato gardens, fine wines and travel. He was very active in the community and supported several non-profit and fundraising initiatives.
Ed’s departure leaves an unfillable void in the lives of his family and friends. A void that will be filled in time with the comfort of endless memories and love shared by all.
Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Sunday, November 24, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers Sunday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024 at 10:15am beginning at Windsor Chapel Funeral home with procession to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 4401 Mt Royal Drive for Mass and Christian Burial at 11:00am. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery to follow.
