Dear Janette and Pat's entire family,
I am so saddened to hear of Pat's passing. Myself and the rest of Pat's buddies, we have such great memories of our good times with Pat. From our teenage years, to our Super Bowl parties as old men, Pat shared a funny story and always wanted to hear how our lives were going.
We will remember Pat.

My condolences to the Horwood family. Pat and I were friends for almost sixty years. Although we don’t see each other often, I’m glad that we got together to play golf a couple of times this year. I apologize that I will not be able to attend his funeral as I am currently away in Asia. He will be missed very much. May he always rest in peace.

I'll miss him. He was a good friend. A real good friend. In recent years we didn't see each other much but the couple of times a year when we did get together was always an opportunity to relive old memories. Memories like the eight years we travelled together to the Grey Cup. We shared a room together at those events and made memories that will last forever. God speed, Patrick.

Pat was really like an uncle to me. Encouraging, wise, fun, and with a heart of gold. It is profound to think that only about a couple of months ago that my family and I were with him on his final trip to Disney World, but it is the greatest honor that we had the privilege to make this trip be our last days with him. Few are as pleasant to be with as Pat was, with his relaxed demeanor and vast knowledge; you could talk for hours with him and still want to hear more. While it is difficult to comprehend that he departed so soon, we honor his many accomplishments and celebrate the many priceless memories he brought to the table.
We will miss you, Uncle Pat. Forever in our hearts you will be, as the man who reminds us day by day to live our lives to the absolute fullest.
Until we meet again,
Lucas, Carolina, Ana, and Luis Pedro

We first met Pat approximately 33 years ago. Sue received a call from her friend Jeanette Traverse inviting over to her new boyfriends house, which we accepted. After introductions Pat look at me and said, "she just walked right in, sat down, put her feet on my coffee table and then called you guys". Looking back, it appears that Jeanette walked into his heart that day.
Several years, and a few children later, our families found ourselves visiting Disney World at the same time. We were staying at a budget resort (All-Star Music), and Pat, Jeanette and the boys were at Old Key West. They invited us over for Jeanette's Spanish rice for dinner. After seeing the look on my wife's face as we entered a 2 bedroom accommodation, he turned to me and said, "you're screwed". We purchased a DVC membership the next day. Attached is a pic of Pat at the Hoop Dee Doo Review during our first visit, and a photo of the OKW lighthouse.
Dear Pat, thank you for your service, for your friendship, your counsel and guidance over the years. You will not be forgotten. We miss you, and the world is a lesser place without you. Keeping Jeanette, Carissa, Patrick, Alex and your entire family in our prayers and thoughts. Kaitlin, Susan and Louis Koenigsberger
