Obituary of Mladenka Kardum (nee Bistric)

Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024 at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Jure “Jerry” Kardum for over 48 years. Loving mother of Marijana Carmickle, Sandra Decker (Matt) and Michael Kardum. Cherished Babi to Aidan, Evan, Gavin, Nolan and Cameron. Dear sister to Neven (Mirjana), Milenko (Milena) and Dragan (Cheryl). Mladenka is now reunited with her furbaby Rusty. Daughter of Milka and the late Stipan “Bozo” Bistric (2016). Daughter-in-law of the late Jure and Jeka Kardum and sister-in-law to the late Jakov, Marko (Kata), Marija Matic (late Stanko), the late Rade, late Ruzica Miholic (late Stanko), Nikola Kardum (Vera). Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and extended family in Windsor, Croatia, Australia, California and British Columbia. Mladenka enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook, bake and go for daily walks. The family would like to thank staff at Banwell Gardens for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., Windsor (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., prayers at 7:00pm. The funeral service will begin from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 starting at 8:30 am for the procession to St. Francis of Assisi, 1701 Turner Rd. Windsor, for the Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada.
