Obituary of Kathleen Sutherland

Kathleen Ann Sutherland (MacLean)

Passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years with her loving family by her side, after a courageous fight against cancer. Reunited with her true love Carman Sutherland (2015). Loving mother of Nancy (Dan) Meunier, Patty (Martin) Reaume, Jason (Vickie) and Chad (Rachelle) Sutherland. She had a very special connection with her grandchildren - Jaime (Justin) and Dean (Alyssa) Meunier, Matthew and Kaitlyn Reaume, McKayla Symons (Brett) and Peyton, Quinn and MacLean Sutherland. Proud GiGi to Brennan and Carson Ireland, and baby McMillan.

Predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Margaret MacLean and in-laws Alexander and Bertha Sutherland. Sister to the late Grant (late-Jean), Isobel (late-Gilbert), Ruth (late-Fletcher), and Sharon (Donnie).  Dear Sister-in-law to Jack (Sally), Ruth (late-Stan), Clarence (Mable), Carol (Eugene), Janet (Bob) and the late Mac (Vivian) and Betty. She will be dearly missed by her many nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Kathleen worked at Windsor Medical, Canada Post, and was a caregiver to many people. She was a gracious mother who always had time for her family and loved them dearly. Kathleen enjoyed crafting, baking, gardening, playing cards, going for walks, watching her grandchildren’s activities, and her favourite holiday – Christmas!

Memorial Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Windsor Chapel South, 3048 Dougall Avenue, (519 253 7236) from  7 pm - 9 pm. Memorial Visitation will continue on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 10 am – 12 noon. Memorial service in the chapel will begin at 12:00 noon. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Hamm and all the nurses who gave compassionate care, especially Emmanuel and Tiffany.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Kathleen can be made to your local food bank.
