Obituary of Darcy Urquhart

Urquhart- Darcy

November 30, 1949- October 6, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Darcy Urquhart on October 6, 2024, at the age of 74. Darcy was a loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather whose impact on his family and community will forever be cherished.

Darcy was the beloved husband of Emerita (Ouellette) with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and a deep sense of connection. He was a proud father to Monica (Frank), Corrine (Michael), and Jennessa (Jeremy), each of whom he supported with unwavering love and guidance throughout their lives.

As a grandfather, Darcy found endless joy in his role as "Pa" to Brianna, Danté, Lawrence, Caleb, Adriana, and Alyssa. And recently greatpa to Leia. His grandchildren brought him immense pride, and he delighted in watching them grow, offering advice and encouragement with a kind heart and steady hand.

Proceed by Edward Charles and Mary - Joanne Urquhart ( Reaume) and brother Edward. He leaves behind Brian (Linda), Darlene (Tony), Wayne (Wanda), Lynne (Shawn), Martin (Gail), Beth (Sean) and many nieces and nephews.

For over 30 years, Darcy was a dedicated employee at Cavalier Tool and Manufacturing, where he worked with integrity and passion as Sales Manager, leading with professionalism and fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were a testament to his character and dedication.

Darcy was an artist, a music lover, a connoisseur of scotch, the best martini maker and a motorcycle enthusiast, proudly riding his Harley as road captain for the CMC riding club.

Darcy lived his life with integrity, kindness, and a deep commitment to those he loved. He was known for his generous spirit, companionship, and his ability to light up the room.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Darcy’s legacy of love, wisdom, and devotion will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
