I knew Mister Ouellette through the Essex and Kent Scottish. Although he may not have been in rain, sleet or snow with the men, the members of the unit still had insurmountable levels of respect for our Honorary Lieutenant Colonel. Whether gifting cigarettes to the troops while visiting in a training area, or leading the regiment in a toast worthy of winning over young impressionable soldiers. Though the position may be symbolic to most, Mister Ouellette broke that mold. I will say from the heart, I have never been more grateful than to have been promoted by Mister Ouellette. A man who truly was not in need of proving him self, proved to many.
Sincerely, a young impressionable soldier

Joe Ouellette was more than just an employer to me; he was the person who gave me my first real job opportunity. In my early 20’s during my career at Acrolab Ltd., Joe welcomed me into his work family and guided me with wisdom, patience, and support.
Throughout his long career, Joe achieved great success, earning him the admiration and respect of his staff, peers and community. His innovative ideas and strategic vision were instrumental in shaping not only his business, but the various industries he worked in as well. Many of his contributions will be remembered for years to come.
While Joe lead a successful career, beyond his professional achievements, to me it was his character that truly set him apart. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and generosity. He treated everyone with respect and always had time to listen, offering advice and encouragement when it was needed most. His door was always open, and his heart was always full.
I found that Joe had a unique ability to connect with people, to make them feel valued and understood. His laughter was always infectious, and his spirit, insightfulness and curiosity was uplifting.
I’ll be forever grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to have known such a compassionate leader who truly embraced living. My deepest condolences to his friends and family.

We first met Joe over ten years ago while sailing his Mirage sailboat Antidote, and enjoyed years of buddy boating on the lakes. When he bought his Morgan sailboat Odissea we were privileged to help him sail across the Gulf of Mexico and then sailed with him and Paula to the Bahamas. We will always cherish the memories we made together. Not only was Joe an outstanding sailor, he was an amazing cook, we were spoiled with many of his culinary creations over the years! He was selfless, energetic and full of life and we are grateful for the time we were able to spend with him. Condolences to all who loved him. Rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences and prayers go to the family. I have known Joe for over two decades, traveling with him to Lublin a city he loved and connected with Windsor in 2000. He was a leader, spokesman, and generous supporter of the Polish-Canadian Business Society in Windsor. We will miss Joe greatly, but his legacy and friendship will stay in our hearts forever.

While Joe will be remembered as a man of many interests and accomplishments, he was a genuine human being that 'loved life'. He touched a lot of lives, leaving us thankful to have called him a friend. And, as a man is known by the 'company' he keeps, he is no doubt in great company now.
My condolences to family, a life well-lived and well-loved.
Gone, yet never forgotten.

It is with a deep heart felt wish for the family and friends that you hold on to the memories of Joe, that brought you his love, joy and laughter. I know how difficult this time is for all of you. Take refuge in knowing that he is holding you with his warmth and caring heart.
Joe allowed me to join his company nearly 40 years ago. He was instrumental with shaping my young career. He passed on his joy and excitement of ideas to create things beyond the possible. I have held on to his gift to this day.
Thank you again Joe, to my dear mentor and old friend, I will miss the generosity, and warmth of your caring heart. Know that you have been sincerely loved and will be missed.

Almost 45 years ago, as a young immigrant and a newbee in the plastics field, I had a chance to meet Joe who acted as a mentor for me and taught me all about what Acrolab could provide. He ultimately hired me to handle the Quebec market and left me develop it at my own pace. I am very grateful for everything he did for me and will remember him for the rest of my life.
Merci pour tout Joe
