Obituary of Ana Zdunic
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ana Zdunic on September 20, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to George for over 63 years. Loving mother to Vesna and Jasna. Cherished Baba to Marisa and Tomas Buchan. Extended family to Maggie Parent and Cole Crowley. Survived by sister Mira Bergovec. She will forever be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family in Croatia and Germany and her many friends.
Mom and Dad came to Canada in 1972 in search of better life, which they found right here in Windsor with their beautiful family. Mom loved to travel with the family, we would always have a suitcase packed because you never knew when you were leaving to go on trip. Mom was an incredible person, she was kind, thoughtful and above all else she was caring. She loved her family more than anything. Mom was a great cook, her best meal was her Sarma, she was also an amazing baker, her walnut role was a cant miss desert. Mom had a green thumb, no matter what she planted we knew it would grow. Mom was stern she knew what she wanted, and knew what she didn’t. She was fair and loving and very accepting of everyone and cared for everyone. Mom will forever be missed, the love that she shared with us and the memories that she made will stay with us forever.
We would like to thank the staff at Home Instead for their amazing care for mom. We would also like to thank The Hospice of Windsor-Essex for their support while in their care.
