Obituary of Salim Chibani

Salim Chibani October 8, 1937 - September 16, 2024 Salim Chibani passed away peacefully Monday morning at the age of 86 surrounded by his family and welcomed into the loving arms of his wife Josephine (1997) and Grandson baby Eli (2024). Dear father of Micheline Chahine (Camille), Mirna Douiahy (Joseph) George Chibani (Hala), Gisele Rizkallah(Simon), Charbel Chibani (Justine) and Rinjus Andreapolus(Anthony). Predeceased by his parents, Georges and Rinjus Chibani. His sisters Labibi and Amine (El-Ahmar), Assaf and Akl and survived by his brother John Chibani and his wife Paulette and their families. Beloved grandfather to Stephanie, Michael, Katherine, George, Sarkis, Peter, Anthony, Josephine, Daisy, Layla, Theodore and John. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews in Canada and Lebanon. Our family wishes to express our heartfelt and sincere appreciation to front line staff at Extendicare (Southwood lakes), special thank you to Nicole, Kim, Sonia, Judith, Jacqueline and many wonderful staff. Friends and family will be received at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd East (519)253-7234) on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm, with prayers at 8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Charbel Antonin Maronite Catholic Church (5700 Outer Dr.) on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
