Obituary of Angelo Bruni
FROM OUR HEARTS INTO HIS PARENTS' ARMS
We announce the peaceful passing of our Angelo on August 22, 2024, at Hospice Windsor. Angelo was the beloved son of the late Anteo and Giovanna Bruni and son-in-law of the late Rene and Pearl Renaud. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Jeannine (Renaud). Dearest father (aka Cheech) to Andrew and Ania Bruni, Dawn and Mike Hardy and Cory and Shannon Bruni. Very proud Nonno of Kylie, Myah, and Landyn Bruni, Gia and Ellie Hardy and Seth Bruni who will continue to carry on his story.
He dearly loved his brother Ugo Bruni (Marg Marshall) and sister Gina Durham. Brother-in-law to Frank and Mavis Rawlings.
Angelo will also be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, great extended family in Italy, amazing friends, and wonderful neighbours. He will be especially missed by his dear friend Gabe Pizzuti. He was truly a blessed man.
Angelo was a very talented person. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do or fix, he never gave up. He was fortunate to enjoy 23 years of retirement with family and friends. He was one of the original Erie Street Boys from the 50’s - Oh what a place it was to be!
Angelo could often be found in his garage. If the garage door was open, you knew you could stop in for a treat, especially if you had a four-legged friend. Although his last treat on earth has been given, we are sure he is at the Rainbow Bridge spoiling his furry friends. His family will continue to fill his treat bucket, if the door is open, feel free to stop by!
Our deepest thanks to Windsor Regional Hospital - MET Emergency, EMS, the Oncology department and the 7th floor staff for the most amazing care. The Hospice of Windsor embraced him with great compassion, those angels eased all our pain.
Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME - BANWELL CHAPEL, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7235) on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 am in the Chapel. Cremation to follow. In kindness, donations in memory of Angelo may be made to the Windsor Essex County Humane Society, Hospice of Windsor or simply a random act of kindness.
