Obituary of Earl Antonio Langford Grant

With broken hearts the family of Earl Grant announce his passing on Monday, August 19, 2024 at the age of 65. Loving husband of Cathy Grant. Devoted father of Sancha LaJoie and Elysia Grant. Cherished grandfather of Tyshawn, Tanaya, Taylum, Timmelle, Tessiah, Angel, Traivon, Judah, Jaidah, Raiin, Storm and Karma. Beloved son of Leona Mackey. Dear brother of Daryl Johnson, Paula Johnson and Marilyn Johnson. Predeceased by his father Kernel Johnson, and brother Victor Nickerson.

Earl or Tony as his family called him, always loved his music. In his younger years he was a well known DJ in the GTA. Not a day went by without him listening to music. He made quite a few USB sticks for family and friends as a way to share his love of music.

Earl loved his family and friends and never failed to show this through his kindness and unselfish actions.

He loved his furbabies, Tanner, Cadie and especially Louie. They’ll miss him tremendously.

I was blessed to meet him 11 years ago. He was my friend, my love and my soulmate and for this I am truly thankful.

Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel - Central Chapel (1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 12pm-2pm, a funeral service will follow at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Earl’s memory can be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue.
