Obituary of Gloria Ellen O'Neil

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gloria on August 8th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at 83 years of age.

She is reunited with her beloved husband of 41 years Patrick O’Neil (2008).

Loving mother of Jason, Keri Ann (1989) O’Neil and Bill (Michelle) McNeil. Cherished grandma of Maddison and Maya. Gloria is predeceased by her parents James and Elizabeth Finn.

Dear sister to the late Maureen (late Lynwood) Nye, late Patricia Finn, late Sheila (late Paul) Meunier, Kathleen (late Guido) Vettorello, Eileen (Ken) Steele, Tim (Joan) Finn, Geraldine Finn, Monica Finn, Marian Cote, and Kevin (Gail) Finn. Special aunt to Janet (Bill) Mayville and Jennifer (Derek) Radjenovich. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews. Dear friend of Marg and Ron Devos, Helen Miller, Bonnie and Eddie Allen.

Gloria fought a courageous battle against cancer with grace, dignity and strength. She dedicated 36 years to working at Windsor Utilities. 

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Avenue (519-253-7236) on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Prayers at 3:30 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. from the Funeral Home, then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mt. Royal Dr., South Windsor), for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to The Mt. Carmel Euchre Club, Myeloma Canada or The Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.
