JOVANOVIC, Novka (nee Glisic)

Passed peacefully after a brief illness on August 6, 2024, at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Vule “Victor” for 62 years. Loving mother to Jasmine Thomas and Stefan Jovanovic (Jessica). Proud Baba to Adrienne Thomas, Celeste Jovanovic, Steven Thomas and Clara Jovanovic. Dear sister to Dragan Glisic (Koviljka). Sister-in-law of Radmila Jovanovic. Cherished aunt of Zoran Jovanovic. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in Canada, South Korea, Europe and Serbia. Novka loved spending time with her family and was a devoted wife, mother and baba. The family would like to thank Dr. Malus, the staff of WRH – Ouellette I.C.U and Met Campus Emergency for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location, 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Friday, August 9^th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with prayers at 7:30 p.m.  Family and friends are invited to meet directly at Grachanica Serbian Orthodox Church, 1960 Meldrum Rd., Windsor on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. VERY Rev. Fr. Jovica Cetkovic officiating. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Grachanica Choir and church, or charity of choice.
