Helen Leslie (nee Whitesell)

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our Grandmother Helen Marguerite Leslie nee Whitesell. Predeceased by her husband Don and Daughters Pamela & Marilyn & son-in-law Wayne. 

Helen Leslie was a matriarch of our family and a pillar of strength and love, passed away on Friday July 26, 2024 at the remarkable age of 101 and 9 months. Born on November 12,1922 she lived a full life filled with joy, laughter, and adventure. She will be deeply missed by her grandson Dwayne and wife Lorri and grand daughter Cherie, great-granddaughters, Julia & husband Alex, Stephanie & husband Matthew, Margaret & great grandson Colin and great-great-grandchildren, Senna & Anthony.  She leaves behind her brother Rae as well as loving nieces and nephews and all those who knew her.

Throughout her life, Helen was known for her kindness, wisdom, and generosity. She had a heart of gold and always put others before herself. Her warm smile and infectious laugh could light up a room, and her cooking and baking skills were legendary.  She even loved making jello.  

Special Thanks to the Aspen Lake nursing home staff, Tecumseh neighbourhood who were simply amazing with phenomenal care and compassion!  ❤️. Special thanks also to nurses Joy and Jennifer, Jo & Dana for exceptional care!
